“Octomom” Goes To Rehab
October 30, 2012
Nadya Suleman, infamously known as Octomom, was recently admitted into rehab for her prescription drug addiction to Xanax. Her fourteen children are reportedly staying at their nanny’s for the next month or so.
37 year old Suleman, who made international headlines after giving birth to octuplets in 2009, checked into the Chapman House Treatment Center last week due to “anxiety, exhaustion, and stress” all of which have been linked to her Xanax addiction.
“Ms. Suleman has been taking Xanax that was prescribed by her doctor to deal with her anxiety, but she felt she needed a treatment program to help with her recovery,” her rep told ABC News. “She will be in treatment for 28 days or more if needed.”
The distressed mother has been known for her ‘unmotherly’ like tendencies including multiple forms of prostitution, unnecessary publicity, and child endangerment.
Her rep stated that her children are in good care, and that Suleman hopes to leave rehab in full recovery as soon as possible.
