Who would do such a thing–steal Girl Scout Cookies? Well, if you ordered a box or two from those sweet little girls at your front door, don’t be surprised if there is a shortage.
On Wednesday, South Carolina police caught a man for stealing over $19,000 worth of Girls Scout Cookies. The culprit is 37 year old Christopher Morton of Spartanburgh, S.C. Morton was a delivery driver from the storage company and was scheduled to make a drop off at a storage unit that Tuesday.
The owner of the storage company reported that 450 cases of the cookies were missing after inventory the next day. Most of the cases consisted of Thin Mints and Shortbreads.
After Morton was caught by local authorities, they found about 352 cases behind an abandoned business. No word yet on where the rest of the cases are located.
