Actress and Singer Natina Reed Struck and Killed by Car

At only 32, friends and family of actress Natina Reed, known for her role in the hit movie Bring It On, are all mourning her loss. The actress/singer was killed last Friday night after being hit by a car in Atlanta, Georgia. Gwiinnett County Police confirmed her death this weekend and also announced that she would have been 33 on Sunday.
Around 10:30 p.m. on Friday, October 26, police claimed they received a call from the accused driver, stating that they had just hit a pedestrian. “Information received indicated that CPR was being performed by a person on the scene,” Officer Long said via a statement given after the devastating event. “Preliminary information indicates that Reed was in the roadway on Lawrenceville Highway near Hamilton Road when struck. The driver of the vehicle was determined to be not at fault and there are no charges pending.”
Blaque, Reed’s vocal group, released two albums, their 1999 self-titled debut and 2002’s “Blaque Out.” In 2000, they all appeared in the movie Bring it On.
Left mourning the loss of their friend and band member, Blaque announced their sorrow via twitter. Blaque member Shamari Fears-DeVoe said, “My heart and my soul is in so much pain.” She further explained, “My sister, my best friend, I will always love you.”
Reed is survived by her 10-year-old son, Tren Brown, with Dogg Pound rapper Kurupt.
