What’s on TV? A Look at the New Fall Season
October 4, 2012
Fall not only brings the start of a new school year and a new football season; it also ends the tireless reruns of the summer and brings on the new season of television’s most beloved shows. Along with the return of some fan favorites, new shows are premiering on all the major networks as well.
The Walking Dead: Season 3
Everyone’s favorite zombie fighting crew are back on October 14 to begin season 3 of the hit AMC show. Season two ended in confusion, with the members of the crew beginning to have differing opinions on what they should do. The episode ended showing a possible new character and a possible new location for the survivors to hold out in, without giving too much away. It left viewers hanging on every last minute, anxiously awaiting the start of season 3. The time has come, and hopefully Rick and his crew are as ready as the viewers are.
Dexter: Season 7
Your friendly neighborhood serial killer, Dexter, is back on September 30 to deal with the repercussions of what he did at the end of season 6. Season 6 concluded with Dexter being caught in the act by his sister, Deb. It will be interesting to see how Dexter gets out of this one, as the last time this happened, the person didn’t last too long, but this time it’s different.
Nashville
This new ABC series starts October 10. “Nashville” seems to stay true to its name, with a story of a woman doing her best to make it big in Music City. This show follows the lead of the other popular music TV series that have succeeded it in the past.
Vegas
A new series starring Dennis Quaid and Michael Chiklis is another attempt at a cop and mob drama. Networks have had great success in the past with these types of shows and with the noteworthy cast CBS has put together, this one should be no different. Be sure to tune in when it premiers in the early fall months.
Early fall is always great for TV, as new shows are starting and your favorite shows are back for new seasons. Don’t forget to set your DVR’s!
